Historic Colo. trading post to be recreated in Minecraft

This article stalks about how Bent's Old Fort and how a non-profit group called Immersive Education Initiative will be working with students from Standford to replicate the fort in Minecraft. They say this is an initiative that will be bridging the 1800's to the modern world because of the use of modern virtual reality to replicate a historical building.

Bent's Old Fort is a replica of a 1830's trading post on the old Sante Fe Trail and is currently one of Colorado's top tourist attractions. Students in Colorado will be working with students at Stanford's Architecture Design program to collectively create this virtual representation. They are starting off by creating it in the game Minecraft.

This is an assignment from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc
