Red-eye Image Formats

JPG Format

GIF Format

PNG Format

I think the most apparent difference from the images is which colors stand out in the different pictures. I can't really tell the difference between JPEG and PNG without enlarging the picture, however, the GIF image definitely is very different and you can tell by looking at the face of the kid. There are certain shadows and rather unclear lines on the picture of the kid in the GIF format.

MIDTERM 3

PNG format

This is the steps that I took to change and save/export the file format from a TIFF image format to GIF, JPEG, and PNG format. The difference between the different image formats isn't very apparent but the file formats are very different. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. MIDTERM 2

Here is the original picture of the cat.
Here I am putting my name on the cat so that it is obvious this is my work.
In this step I am adding the white box in preparation for the caption.

Here I typed in the phrase "Samus is a trouble maker" into the white box.

This is the final product!

This is an exercise where we are putting a caption on the picture of a cat named Samus. As you can see I am showing the various steps I undertook in completing this procedure. First we made a box and filled it with the color white, then using the text tool I typed in the phrase "Samus is a trouble maker". MIDTERM 1

I put my name on the picture first.

Next I use the zoom tool so that I can close in and isolate the redeyes.

Here I am using the eyedropper tool to get the color of the eye that isn't red.

Here is the final product, I colored the eyes brown!

These are the steps I took to remove the redeye from the picture. First you want to zoom in on the eye and isolate the pigment of the eye that you want to fill it with. You then use the eyedropper tool to get the same color and then use the brush tool to paint his eye with the same color. You can see from the final product that his eyes no longer have the redeye in them! It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. Class 2, Assignment 9

Here I am following the instructions on the website to fill out my Notepad. I'm really anxious as to if this will really work.

Here is my website. It worked and I was very surprised!

Class 2, Assignment 3

Here is the cropped Learning Ladder for Class #2!

Assignment 2-2: My GIMP Photo

Hello my name again is Jeffrey Yi and I am currently a Junior in CSOM concentrating in Finance/Marketing. This is a picture of me last year going out to eat at the Daily Catch with a friend of mine. I am eating squid ink pasta, something that was completely new to me.

Assignment 2-1: What is Immersive Education?

Here is a screenshot of Dr. Walsh initially describing what the Immersive Education initiative is and how he created it to provide education remotely to students who want to learn in this virtual atmosphere. He describes the changes that technology has undergone since he initially started this initiative and how it has helped him further achieve his mission.

Here is a presentation of how you can utilize virtual realities to be applied with learning. The presentation shows how you can take measurements of the ecosystem and virtually fast forward time to track the simulation over a "real" period of time. This is very intriguing to see how learning is and will be impacted more by the tools technological advances provide for us.

This is the professor going into a Q&A session where he addresses concerns that his audience has regarding the technological education initiative. Someone asks how everyone will have equal access to these virtual tools as difference in hardware can potentially be detrimental to the virtual learning experience. He explains that more and more virtual worlds are moving to be accessible in web browsers so that hardware will be less of a concern in accessing these worlds.

Class 1, Assignment 5 : My Source Code Editor

Class 1 Assignment 4: Experimenting with GIMP

Class 1, Assignment 5

Hello, My Name is Jeffrey Yi

Hello, I'm currently a junior in CSOM concentrating in Finance and Marketing as a dual concentration. My nationality is Korean and I was born and raised in Southern California, more specifically Orange County. In my free time at home I love going out to eat and spend time with friends while exploring hobbies such as snowboarding, gaming, and basketball. A fun fact is that I was/am actually a professional gamer for the MOBA title Heroes of Newerth. I have been playing the game for about 6 years now and love the competitive nature the game ignites in me. With this class I hope to be able to further learn about games and computer graphics and the beauty of the whole technological age. Here is a picture of me and my cousin at her wedding on January 3, 2015.
